a well lived bland life
Way back in January I lost my digital camera in a large pile of snow on the side of a mountain. Since then I've been relatively photo-free only grabbing a few photos here and there from friends. Life without my camera was hard. It wasn't a fancy or even good camera by any means. I overpaid for it by today's standards, it had no features, and took moderate and mostly blurring photos, but it enabled me to capture people and places and that was sufficient. Well I finally piled enough funds together to buy a replacement camera, and it's amazing. After much research and investigation and thanks to the advice of a photography-buff friend I decided upon a Canon PhotoSmart SD700 (IXUS 800). It's not a new camera, but is only about a year old or so old. I found a great deal on a refurbished one at Amazon.com and am so far very happy. The most amazing part about the camera, at least that I've discovered so far is the "color ascent" feature which allows you to show only certain colors in the picture making the rest of the colors black and white.
