a well lived bland life
On this day twenty-five years ago, my mother of twenty-four years old gave birth to me, after caring and nuturing a new life inside her womb for eight months and two weeks. She had to change her eating habbits, thought processes, and lifestyle all to look after this life inside of her. From my birth, through early childhood, and till the day I left their nest to set out on my own, my mother and father looked after me, doing what they could to lead me on the right path of life and providing the best they could along the way. Just as my grandparents had for them a generation earlier, as had generations before them. On this day that I celebrate the annual occurance of my emergence into this world, I would like to thank my parents for what they did for me, and the generations before for what they did for my parents. I only pray that one day in the future I am able to pass the same to my offspring.
