a well lived bland life
he story begins yesterday when my loving wife bought me two containers of raisins to bring to work for snacking. She had set them aside in a plastic bag for me to bring to work in the morning. Upon departure this morning I grabbed the sack of raisins and mounted my mighty steed, that would be my bike, not knowing the adventures that lay before me. About half way to work it happened. The cheap plastic grocery bag buckled under the weight of the two large containers of raisins and released one of them to the pavement below. To my dismay I witnessed the raisin container rolling over and over again, leaping off the curb and directly into traffic. However, at this precise time, an ambulance was coming down the road and the traffic had observantly come to a halt just in time as the container rested only a few feet in front of someone's tire. I was able to rescue the raisins and mend the grocery sack for a safe end of journey to work. I'm sure my raisins will be forever grateful for their savior.... that is, until I eat them later today.
