500 miles and counting..
Yesterday was a monumental day. It has been almost exactly two months since I bought my bike and starting preparing for RAGBRAI, and two major events transpired during my ride yesterday. To set the stage, yesterday was a VERY windy day. While riding with the wind and down hill I set a new personal land speed record of 40.3 mph. Riding that fast with only a few inches of rubber between you and the pavement can be fairly surreal and exilerating. On my ride I also surpassed 500 total miles biked since March 30th of this year.
